(i) The rhythmic closure and opening of the valves causes heart sounds. The first sound .LUBB. is of longer duration and is produced by the closure of the tricuspid and bicuspid valves after the beginning of ventricular systole. The second sound .DUPP. is of a shorter duration and produced by the closure of semilunar valve at the end of ventricular systole.
(ii) Aneuploidy is the loss or gain of one or more chromosomes in a set. It is of three types. Monosomy (2n-1), Trisomy (2n+1 )and Nullisomy (2n-2).
