How many electrons are passing per secon...

How many electrons are passing per second in a circuit in which there is a current of 5 A ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Current I = 5 A
time (t) =1 second
Charge of electron `e= 1.6 xx 10^(-19) C`
`I = q/t`
`I = "ne" /t " " therefore q= "ne"`
Number of electron `n= It / e`
`= (5 xx 1)/(1.6 xx 10^(-19))`
`n=3.125 xx 10^19`
(ii) (a) When source (S) and listerner (L) both are at rest.
(b) When S and L in such a way that distance between them remains constant.
(c) When source S and L are moving in mutually perperndicular directions.
(d) If the source is situated at the center of the circle along which the listerner is moving .
