Discuss the singnificance of heavy isotope of nitrogen in the Meselson and Stahl's experiment .

Due to corporation of N(heavy isotope of nitrogen), it was found after replication of DNA both strands of DNA contain "N as constituent of purines and pyrimidines. When such DNA with "N were placed in medium having “N, newly formed DNA molecules contained one strand heavier than other. This was used to show that DNA replication is semiconservative.
