During DNA replication, why is it that the entire molecule does not open in one go? Explain replication fork. What are the two functions that the monomers (dNTPs) play ?

DNA helix in eukaryotes bear large number of replicons. All of them act simultaneously.
Functions of dNTPs :
(i) From deoxyribonucleoside phosphate deoxyribo-nucleotides are formed used for DNA replication.
(ii) For building hydrogen bonds, energy is released when pyrophosphates acts on them.
