Intra-Uterine Devices (IUDs) are those contraceptives which are fitted in uterus and prevent either the fertilization of egg or implantation of embryo. These include Lippe.s loop (non-medicated), Cu-T (Copper ions releasing) and LNG-20 (Hormone releasing).
