Aquatic animals generally are ammonotelic in nature where as terrestrial forms are not. Comment.

Aquatic animals are ammonotelic in nature as can tolerate loss of large amount of water required to expel ammonia (500 ml of water per gram of `NH_(3)`). But terrestrial animals cannot tolerate loss of high amount of water so change ammonia to either urea (e.g. mammals) or uric acid (e.g. reptiles and birds) for conservation of water.
