First we can apply refraction formula to get the location of image as follows :
`(mu_(2))/(v)-(mu_(1))/(u)=(mu_(2)-mu_(1))/(r)`
Here `u=-50cm, R=-25cm, mu_(1)=1 and mu_(2)=1.5`
`rArr" "(1.5)/(v)=(1)/(-50)=(1.5-1)/(-25)`
`rArr" "(1.5)/(v)=-(1)/(50)-(1)/(50)`
`rArr" "(1.5)/(v)=-(1)/(25)`
`rArr" "v=-37.5cm`
`"Magnification "m=(h_(2))/(h_(1))=(mu_(1))/(v)/(mu_(2)u)`
`rArr" "(h_(2))/(2)=(1xx(-37.5))/(1.5xx(-50))`
`rArr" "h_(2)=(37.5)/(1.5xx25)=1cm`
Hence image will be erect and 1 cm in height.
