What is meant by geographic meridian and magnetic meridian ?

A vertical plane containing the longitude circle ( all the plane ) and the axis of rotation of the earth is called the geographic meridian. Similarly a vertical plane passing through a place and containing the axial line connecting the magnetic north-south poles of earth is called magnetic meridian.
