Tritium has a half-life of 12.5 y undergoing beta decay. What fraction of a sample of pure tritium with remain undecayed after 25 y ?

After 12.5 years, half the initial sample will remain undecayed. In the next 12.5 years one half of these nuclei undergoes decay. Therefore one-fourth of the initial sample of tritium will remain undecayed.
