Pressure at the bottom of a sea is much greater than that at its surface. Explain it

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The force acting on surface water is only atmo- spheric pressure but in the bottom of the sea the weight of water is the force acting on the bottom. Since ' P' is proportional and to ' F' pressure at the bottom of the sea is much greater than that at its surface
