(i) Fish provides food which is the rich source of animal proteins. It contains more proteins (about 13-20%) than the meat of other animals, less fats, good amount of vitamins A and D and rich in iodine. Further it is more easily digestable than the meat of the other animals.
(ii) Fish breeding also provides a number of by products like vitamin rich liver oil, fish meal (with about 55-77% proteins) and fish concentrate (with about 80-90%).
