(i) Because insulin in produced in small amount , large number of animals are to be slaughtered .
(ii) It is not ethical to kill the animals .
(iii) Insulin taken from animals given to human beings does not respond well with immue sysetm of humans.
(iv) Due to infection with microorganisms , some animals may produce contaminated insulin.
