What is the difference between flora, fauna and vegetation? Eichhornia crassipes is called as an exotic species, while Rauwolfia is an endemic species in India. What do these terms exotic and endemic refer to ?

(i) Flora. It is plant life found in a region.
(ii) Fauna. It is animal life found in a region.
(iii) Vegetation. It is gerneral term used for plant species of a region.
Endemic species are indigenous species and arenative to the environment, where theyare found eg. Rauwoljia serpentina. Exotic species are introduced in an area from outer source e.g. Eichhornia crassipes
