How are the male and female gametophytes of pteridophytes and gymnosperms different from each other ?

In pteridophytes male gametophyte in plants like selaginella in endoscopic and bears antheridia . Female gametophyte bears archegonia. In gymnosperms male gametophyte is highly reduce and made up of limited cells equivalent to pollen grain. Female gametophyte here is multicellular and contains archegonia . It is retained within megasporangium.
