Human male produces two types of sperms 50% with X-chromosome and 50% with Y-chromosome, so is heterogametic. Human female produces only one type of ova, each having X-chromosome so is homogametic. If X-containing sperm fuses with ovum, then female baby is born, but if Y-containing sperm fuses with ovum, then male baby is born.
