There are certain diseases which become incurable after some period e.g. cancer and AIDS. But according to a report, about `90%` of all the deaths are due to potentially avoidable factors. So our therapeutic programmes should concentrate on prevention and early diagnosis than on treatment-oriented approaches. Secondally, even the infected person acts as source of spread of the infectious diseases.
