In the metropolitan cities more children are suffering from the allergy/asthma due to high level of air pollutants especially Suspended Particulate Matter (SPM) produced by the rapid increase in vehicles. Metropolitan children are more sensitive to allergens due to protected environment provided early in life. Allergy is characterised by hypersensitivity of the body to the allergens and is characterised by sneezing, watery eyes, running nose, difficulty in breathing, irritation of throat and trachea, skin rashes, etc.
