(a) A condition with hypersensitive response to antigens is called allergy.
(b) Cells responsible for hypersensitive response are mast cells of connective tissue.
(c) Allergic responses can be prevented by:
(i) Identifying and avoiding the allergen.
(ii) Use of antihistamine, adrenaline and steroid drugs to neutralise allergy-causing histamine.
