Write the expression for the drift velocity of charge carriers in a conductor of length 'l' across which a potential difference 'V' is applied.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Drift velocity `v_d = (eV)/(ml) tau`
Here `tau` is the relaxation period, e the charge and m the mass of charge carriers.
