If a current of `0.5A` flows through a metallic wire for 2 hours, then how many electrons would flow through the wire ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`Q = I xx t`
`= 0.5 xx 2 xx 60 xx 60`
`= 3600 C`
Now , `96500 C = 6.022 xx 10^(23)` electrons
`3600 C = (6.022 xx 10^(23) xx 3600)/(96500)`
`= 2.25 xx 10^(23)` electrons
