Let the ages the mother and daughter be 7x and x years respectively.
`therefore` Four years ago, `(7x-4)/(x-4)=(19)/(1)`
`rArr 19x-76=7x-4`
`rArr 12x=72=x=6`

`=7x+4=46 years`.
