Which has the larger bond angle `H_2S or H_2O` and why ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`H_2O` has larger angle than `H_2S` because of smaller size of oxygen. There will be greater bond pair-bond pair repulsion in `H_2O` than in `H_2S`.
