(iii) Peptisation

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(i) Shape-selective catalysis
The catalytic reaction that depends upon the pore structure of the catalyst and the size of the reactant and product molecules is called shape-selective catalysis. For example, zeolites are good shape-selective catalysts because of their honeycomb-like structure.
(ii) Kraft temperature
The formation of micelles can take place above a particular temeperature. This temperature is called Kraft temperature.
(iii) Peptisation
The process of converting a precipitate into colloidal sol by shaking it with dispersion medium in the presence of a small amount of electrolyte is called peptisation.
