What si meant by Self inductance and Mutual Inductance ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The phenomenon in which an emf induced in a coil due to the change of current through it is called self induction. The S.I. unit of self inductance is Henry (H). 1 The phenomenon in which a change of current in one coil induces an emf in another coil placed in its proximity is called mutual inductance.
