An experiment measures quantities a,b,c ...

An experiment measures quantities a,b,c and then y is calculated as `y= (ab^2)/(c^3)` .The percentage errors in a.b.c are `pm 1% , pm 3% and pm2%` respectively. What is the percentage error in y?

Here,
`(Delta a)/(a) xx 100 = pm 1%, (Deltab)/(b) xx 100 = +3 %, (Delta c)/(c ) xx 100 = +2 %`
`x = (ab^2)/(c^3)`
Maximum percentage error in x is
`(Deltax)/(x) xx 100 = (Delta a)/(a) xx 100 + 2 (Delta b)/(b) xx 100 + 3 (Delta c)/(c) xx 100`
`= 1 + (2 xx 3) + (3 xx 2) = 13%`.
Maximum percentage error in x is 13%.
