A beam of light consisting of red, blue, and yellow colours is incident on a prism, as shown in the figures below. Complete the diagrams to show the refracted and emergent rays.

The refracted and emergent rays are as shown in the figures below.

In the first figure, incident ray is normal to the prism face and hence it does disperse in the prism but the emergent beam gets dispersed as shown.
In the second figure, incident ray is not normal to the prism face and hence it gets dispersed both inside and outside the prism as shown.
