Since relative permeability of a ferromagnetic material is very high `(mu_r gt gt 1)` , hence all the field lines bend and pass through the ferromagnetic material.
As relative permeability of a paramagnetic material is slightly more than `1 (mu_r gt 1)` , magnetic field lines slightly bends towards the paramagnetic materials.
As relative permeability of a diamagnetic material is slightly less than `1(mu_r lt1)` , magnetic field lines bend away from the diamagnetic material.
