Which quantity is conserved for a satellite revolving around the earth in a fixed orbit?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

In motion of satellite, angular momentum is conserved.
L = mvr = constant
In case of circular orbit, radius r is constant.
` therefore ` mv = constant .
` therefore ` Linear momentum (p) is also conserved.
