What happens when `PCl_(5)` is heated?

`PCl_(5)` has three equatorial (202 pm long) and two axial (240 pm long) bonds. Since axial bonds are weaker than equatorial bonds, therefore, when `PCl_(5)` is heated, the less stable axial bonds breaks to form `PCl_(3)`.
