Is the permeability of a ferromagnetic m...

Is the permeability of a ferromagnetic material independent of the magnetic feld? If not, is it more for lower or higher fields?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

(d) Permeability of ferromagnetic material depends on magnetising field. Because in the hysterisis curve, we find that as H is increased initially value of B increases rapidly, which indicates that value of μ must be increasing.
