In the adjoining figure, `AOB` is a straight line. Find `angleAOC` and `angleBOD`.

A

`40^(@) , 70^(@)`

B

`45^(@) , 70^(@)`

C

`45^(@) , 60^(@)`

D

`55^(@) , 70^(@)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

Since `AOB` is a straight line, the sum of all the angles on the same side of `AOB` at a point `O` on it, is `180^(@)`
`:. x+65+(2x-29)=180`
`implies 3x=135 implies x=45`.
`:. angleAOC=x^(@)=45^(@) and angleBOD=(2 x 45-20)^(@)=70^(@)`.
