The position-time (x-t) graphs for two children A and B returning from their school O to their homes P and Q respectively are shown in figure. Choose the correct entries in the brackets below,
(a) (A/B) lives closer to the school than (B/A)
(b) (A/B) starts from the school earlier than (B/A)
(c) (A/B) walks faster than (B/A)
(d) A and B reach home at the same! different) time

(a) It is clear from the graph that `Oqgt OP,` hence A is nearer to school than B.
(b) A starts from "O" and B starts from "C.. It means A starts the motion earlier than B.
(c ) Slope of `x to t` is value of speed. Slope of B is greater than slop of A. Hence speed of B is greater than speed of A.
(d) A and B both reach at home at same time.
(e) Graphs of both intersects at D.A starts earlier than B. Here B will obertake A.
