The displacement of an object varies with time according to the equation,
`ty = ((3)/(8) t ^(2) 0 3t + 5) m.` Find the instataneous velocity at t = 4s.

A

`45 ms ^(-1)`

B

`12 ms ^(-1)`

C

`3 ms ^(-1)`

D

`0 ms ^(-1)`

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
D

`y = ((3)/(8) t ^(2) - 3t +5) m`
`therefore v = (dy)/(dt) = (3 xx 2 )/(8) t -3 = 3/4 t -3`
Put `t =4s, v = 3/4 (4) - 3 =0 ms ^(-1)`
