An object starting from rest and performing | 41 uniform accelerated motion gains 144 km/h speed in 20 s, then what will be distance covered in 20 s?

A

20

B

400

C

1440

D

2880

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
B

`u = 144 kmh^(-1) = (144000)/(3600) = 40 ms ^(-1)`
Now `d = ((v + v _(0))/( 2)) t = ((40 + 0)/(2)) 20`
`therefore d = 400 m`
