Figure shows a part of a closed circuit. If the current flowing through it is what will b the potential difference be tween point A and R ?

A

`+ 2 V`

B

`+ 1 V `

C

`- 2 V `

D

`-1 V `

Text Solution

The correct Answer is:
A

`+ 2 V `
From figure, apply Kirchhoff.s law from A to B
`therefore V_(A) - 2 ((1)/(4) ) - 1- 2((1)/(4)) = V_(B) `
`therefore V_(A) - (1)/(2) - 1 - (1)/(2) = V_(B)`
`therefore V_(A) - V_(B) = 2 V `
