You are given the circuits as shown in figure, which consist of NAND gates. Identify the logic operation carried out by the two circuits.

(a) The output of the first NAND gate is given on the input of the NOT gate made by connecting both of the NAND gate input, so its truth table is given as follows:

From the truth table it can be said that `Y=A+B` is obtained so the given circuit act as AND gate.
(b) The output of two NOT gates made from the NAND gate given in input of the NAND gate, so its truth table is given as follows.

From the truth table it can be said that given circuit act as OR gate.
