Write the truth table for the circuits given in figure consisting of NOR gates only. Identify the logic operations (OR, AND, NOT) performed by the two circuits.

(a) In figure (a), both the inputs of NOR gate A and B are shorted its truth table is as follows.

From this truth table it can be said with certainly that short of NOR gate gives NOT gate.
`therefore Y=bar(A+B)=barA`
(b) Here two inputs A and B are reverse through the two NOT gate created from the NOR gate. Now `barA and barB` output are given to the third gate NOR. Its truth table is as follows.

From this truth table it can be certainly said that `Y=bar(barA+barB)=A*B`, so this circuit acts as a function of AND gate.
