A cell has 32 chromosomes. It undergoes mitotic division. What will be the chromosome number (n) during metaphase ? What would be the DNA content (c) during anaphase ?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The number of chromosomes in daughter cells remain same as parent cell. So number of chromosomes does not change in metaphase or Anaphase.
The amount of DNA becomes double in S phase of interphase. So if there is 2c in original cells then it becomes 4c.
