In egg cells of mammals generally the process of occurring meiosis becomes stagnant is normal. In female, meiosis begins from embryo when chromosomes get together, and proceed till Diplotene, cell is seen in dictuate phase. This stagnancy is under regulation of hormones.
In this phase formation of Lampbrush chromosomes is a peculiarity seen when RNA synthesis takes place and genes located in DNA undergo transcription and expression.
