PQRS is a parallelogram whose area is 18...

PQRS is a parallelogram whose area is `180 cm^(2)` and A is any point on the diagonal QS. The area of `DeltaASR = 90 cm^(2)`.

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

False
Given, area of parallelogram `PQRS = 180 cm^(2)` and QS is its diagonal which divides it into two triangles of equal area.

So, area of `DeltaSRQ = (180)/(2) = 90 cm^(2)`
Now, A is any point on QS.
So, area of `DeltaASR lt` area of `DeltaSRQ`.
i.e., area of `Delta ASR` cannot be `90 cm^(2)`.
