It is process of formation and differeritiation of haploid sex cells or gametes in sexually reproducing animals form undifferentiated diploid germ cells-spermatogenesis is completed in three major steps.
1. Spermatogenesis-During this phase, spermatogonia divide and produce successive generation of cells, Which give rise to spermatocytes.
2. Meosis-During which the spermatocytes go through one reduction division and one equational division.
(b) Gametogenesis-Spermatogenesis in males starts at Puberty while in females oogenesis starts during the embryonal development.
In human males, the process is completed in 'the testes. (Seminiferous tubules) while in the female it is completed in the , fallopian tube (oviduct).
