ELISA (Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay) is a plante assay technique designed for detecting and quantifying substances such as peptides, proteins, antibodies and hormones .
ELISA is the most commonly used type test to screen for HIV infection because of its relatively simple methodology, inherent high sensitivity and suitability for testing large no. of samples.
