At 300K ,36g of glucose present in a litre of its solution has an osmotic pressure of 4.98 bar. If the osmotic pressure of the solution is 1.52 bars at the same temperature, what would be its concentration?

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

`pi_1=4.98 "bar " ,pi_2=1.52 "bar",C_1=30/180`
Now ,according to van't haff equation `pi= CRT`
`4.98= 30/180 RT`
`1.52 = C_2RT`
Now ,dividing equation (ii) by equation (ii) by equation (i)
`(C_2xx 180)/(30)=(1.52)/(4.98)`
`C_2=(1.52xx30)/(4.98 xx 180)`
`C_2=0.0508.`
