Find the equations of the diagonals of the square formed by the lines `x=o,y=0,x=1a n dy=1.`

A

y=x,y+x=1

B

y=x,x+y=2

C

2y = x,y+x = 1/3

D

y=2x,y+2x =1

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

The correct Answer is:
A

The coordinates of the vertices of the square are A(0,0), B(0,1), C(1,1) and D(1,0).
Now, the equation of AC is
y=x
and that of BD is `y-1=-(1)/(2)(x-0)`
or x+y=1
