A driver takes 0.20 s to apply the brakes after he sees a need for it. This is called the reaction time of the driver. If he ils driving a car at a speed of 54 km/h and the brakes cause a deceleration of 6.0 m/s^2 , find the distance travelled by the car after he sees the need to put the brakes on.

A man starts from his home at 8.00 am to his office. He walks with a speed of 2 ms^(-1) on a road upto his office 3.0 km away from his hom. He stays in the office upto 4.00 pm and returns to his home by which moves non-stop with a speed of 10 ms^(-1) . Calculate (i) the time taken by man to reach his office and (ii) time taken by man to reach his home. Also plot x-t graph of his motion.

A train moving a uniform velocity of 180km/h, approaches another train standing on a platform. An observer O moves with a uniform velocity of 36km/h towards , as shown in figure. Both the trains are blowing whistles of same frequency 120 Hz. When O is 600 m away from and distance between and is 800 m, the number of beats heard by O is x. Find x. [Speed of the sound = 330 m/s]

A driver having a definite reaction time is capable of stopping his car over a distance of 30 m on seeing a red traffic signal, when the speed of the car is 72 km/hr andover a distance of 10 m when the speed is 36 km/hr. Find the distance over which he can stop the car if it were running at a speed of 54 km/hr. Assume that his reaction time and the deceleration of the car remains same in all the three cases.

Ajay starts from his house to his office by his car which is 15 km away at an average speed of 45 km per hour.
