Various types of cell connections in tissues are as under : (a) Tight junctions : This junction holds the cells of ep ith eliom a tissue tigh tly to neighbouring epithelial cells. It keeps the liquid from escaping between cells. (b) Adhering junctions : This junction connects intermediate cells with each other. (c) Gap junctions : This junction provides favorable condition for transport between neighbouring cells.
