What is meant by the statement "aerobic respiration is more efficient " ?

During aerobic respiration, 36ATP are obtained from one molecule of glucose. While 2ATP are obtained in either aerobic respiration or fermentation which are very less than aerobic respiration so it can be said that aerobic respiration is a more efficient process.
