Zygote or 8 celled blastomeres or pre embryo obtained female donor is transferred to fallopian tube. This process is called zygote intra fallopian transfer (ZIFT).
Embryo having 8 blastomers and having more blastomers is transferred to uterus the process occurring at that time is called Intra Uterine Transfer (IUT).
When ovum obtained from female donor and transferred to fallopian tube of female who cannot produce ovum is called Gamete Intra Fallopian Transfer (GIFT)
