Do you justify the statutory ban on amniocentesis in our country ? Give reasons.

Yes, it is necessary to put ban on Amniocentesis because currently misuse of amniocentesis is done which is used to determine the sex of foetus which leads to abortion in case of female foetus. They became so serious that sex ratio of male and female is disrupted. That shows negative approach in society.
The real usage of this test is to check genetic disability or metabolic deficiencies of foetus, or DNA of chromosome. In such cases if they are curable, a decision of abortion can be taken.
