When a conservative force does positive ...

When a conservative force does positive work on a body , the potential energy of the body increases /decreases/ remains unaltered .

Text Solution

Verified by Experts

Potential energy of the body decreases. Because , when work done by conservative force exerted on the body seem toward the centre which decreases the displacement and hence potential energy will be decreased .
